Texas Rangers 2026 Roster Prediction 2.0
I made a Texas Rangers roster prediction earlier this spring, and now that we are less than a week away from the final roster being announced, I am going to try another roster prediction.
Starting Rotation
This one is the easiest to predict. There is only one spot in question; the rest are filled.
- Nathan Eovaldi – Opening Day starter in Philly, already announced
- Jacob deGrom – He will get the nod for the second game
- MacKenzie Gore – The lefty was brought in to be another strong starter behind Eovaldi and deGrom
- Jack Leiter – Leiter should improve on a good 2025
- Jacob Latz – I believe he has earned it after a really good 2025. He will win the opening day spot, and Kumar Rocker will go to AAA
Bullpen
- Robert Garcia – He will be near the back end of the pen, if not the closer
- Chris Martin – Returning for another season with the Rangers
- Cole Winn – Had a decent 2025
- Jakob Junis – The Rangers brought him in during the off-season
- Tyler Alexander – Another off-season addition
- Carter Baumler – In 6.2 innings pitched in spring training, he has a 0.00 ERA. He has been really good
- Josh Sborz – Even though he is a non-roster invitee, I think he will make the team out of camp
- Luis Curvelo – I think he has a good shot of making the team
Fielders
- Brandon Nimmo – Right field
- Wyatt Langford – Left field
- Evan Carter – Center field
- Josh Jung – 3rd base
- Corey Seager – Shortstop
- Josh Smith – 2nd base
- Mitch Burger – 1st base
- Danny Jansen – Catcher
- Joc Pederson – DH
Bench Players
- Sam Haggerty
- Michael Helman
- Andrew McCutchen
- Kyle Higashioka
