Texas Rangers Offense Struggles but Team Is 8-2

The Texas Rangers’ offense is averaging 3.3 runs per game, which is good for 12 out of 15 American League teams. However, the team’s ERA is 2.93, the best in the AL.
They also lead in complete games (1), shutouts (2), and saves (6).
After 10 games, they have the best pitching in the American League.
I believe the offense will come around, and at some point, the pitching will falter. But to be 12 out of 15 on offense and still be 8-2 is a testament to the team.
“We’re not quite clicking,” Bochy said after the Rangers’ walk-off win against the Rays.
“We’re getting some big hits, some timely hits. That’s what it takes. The whole lineup has got to do something, hopefully, to help us win a ballgame. We’re doing that. We’re not scoring a lot of runs, but we’re pitching well, we’re playing good defense, we’re running the base as well. We’re just doing a lot of little things well, right now.”
Pitching, Pitching, Pitching
Bruce Bochy and the staff have this team finding ways to win. They are winning by pitching in the first 10 games, and later, I believe they will win by offense.

Tyler Mahle and Kumar Rocker looked much better their second time through. Jack Leiter (currently injured), Nathan Eovaldi, and Jacob deGrom looked good in both starts.
This is a pitching staff that gets the job done night after night. Since losing 14-3 to the Reds, the Rangers have not lost in their last five tries.
The Rangers are doing all this with three pitchers now on the Injured List: Jon Gray, Cody Bradford, and Leiter.
Patrick Corbin has been recalled to take Leiter’s place on Tuesday. Corbin is no Leiter, but hopefully, he can get the job done and keep the Rangers in the game, as step-by-step betting guides at SportsBetListings.com indicate.
A team struggling to hit in the modern era usually doesn’t start the season 8-2. The only teams below them in runs are the Astros (4-5), the Mariners (3-7), and the White Sox (2-7).
Keep it Up
If the Rangers can continue to pitch the way they have been so far, this team will be very dangerous as we advance. If the offense comes around, this team will be near unbeatable.
Corey Seager hit his first home run of the season Sunday, and Wyatt Langford has been the bright spot for the offense overall.
Texas is a force to be reckoned with so far in 2025, and barring more injuries, that is not going to change.
Rangers fans should enjoy the team’s historic start and fill Globe Life Field to cheer them on as they continue to play hard and try to keep the hot start going.
