On Friday morning, the Dallas Wings announced a change in tip time for their preseason game against the Indiana Fever on May 3rd. Originally, the game was supposed to tip off at 11:30, but it will now be a prime-time contest beginning at 7:00 PM.

Although it might seem random and leave many people wondering why, the answer is simple. Caitlin Clark.

Clark has taken the sports world by storm this NCAA Basketball season after she became the first player in Division-I history to score 3,800+ points, 1,000+ assists, and 950+ rebounds.

The Indiana Fever are expected to select Clark as the number one overall pick in this year’s WNBA draft, and this preseason game against the Wings is set to be her first WNBA action.

May 3rd’s game is free to all Wings Season Ticket Members, and additional tickets will go on sale on April 18th at 10:00 AM. Those tickets can be purchased at DallasWings.com

Some of the WNBA’s top young talent will be on display as the two teams have a combined three of the top nine draft picks in the upcoming 2024 WNBA Draft after having five of the top 12 selections a season ago.

The Dallas Wings will tip off their regular season at home at College Park Center on May 15 at 7 PM CT against the Chicago Sky.
