SURPRISE, AZ – For my second day of camp, the Rangers are traveling to Tempe, AZ, to face off against the Angels. Sunday, the Cubs defeated the Rangers.

Cody Bradford took the loss but pitched really well overall. Wyatt Langford lost a ball in the sun, which led to the only run Bradford gave up.

“I’m just trying to execute pitches at the end of the day,” Bradford told us post-game. Manager Bruce Bochy told us after the game that he thought Bradford was doing what he needed to do.

The plan today for the Rangers Report is to stay at the Rangers complex and take in some minor league games.

Both AAA and AA will have games, and some big leaguers will play in the AAA game.

Bochy told us this morning he was impressed with Davis Wendzel in camp, among others.

This will be the first games for the minor league camp. I’ll be jumping back and forth from game to game and posting on social media, so be sure to follow us.

With only two weeks left till opening day, the Rangers still have a lot of decisions to make on their roster. Guys like Danny Duffy, Jared Walsh, Jake Latz, and other are still around with two weeks to go.

Here are my observations from yesterday: Wyatt Langford is a big guy. He has a very good swing, and his speed is one of his biggest weapons.

Cody Bradford looks locked in with his pitches, and the 5th spot is his to lose.

Jonah Heim looks season-ready behind the plate and at the plate.

Josh Smith cut his hair.

The Rangers complex is really cool, and I am glad I got the opportunity to check it out. If you would like to help us get back again next year, be sure to check out our Patreon and become a subscriber. Lots of cool stuff is coming this year on our Patreon.
