The name taking over the sports world is college basketball sensation Caitlin Clark. On Sunday, the Iowa star became the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader in the Hawkeyes 96-83 win over then-No 2 Ohio State.

Before her senior day on Sunday, Clark announced that she would not return to Iowa for her 5th year of eligibility and instead enter the WNBA Draft.

When the WNBA held its annual Draft Lottery back in December of last year, the league might as well have called it the Caitlin Clark sweepstakes. The team that won those sweepstakes was the Indiana Fever.

Last season was underwhelming for the Fever who finished 13-27, missing the playoffs once again. However, one major bright side was 2023 number one overall pick Aliyah Boston who won the WNBA Rookie Of The Year after averaging 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Unless the sky falls before the WNBA Draft, Boston will soon be paired with Caitlin Clark, creating the best young duo that the WNBA has ever seen.

Dallas Wings fans will not have to wait long to watch Caitlin Clark in person. On May 3rd, the Wings will host the Fever in their lone preseason game.

Tipoff for the School Day contest is set for 11:30 a.m. CT. The game is free to Wings Season Ticket Members and will go on sale to the public at a later date.

During the regular season, the Fever will be back at the College Park Center in Arlington on July 17th and again on September 1st.

Seeing Caitlin Clark play live will be a must-see experience for any sports fan, and DFW natives will get three chances to do so in 2024.
