On Wednesday morning, the Texas Rangers announced the winners of the organization’s annual awards as well as dates for some fan-favorite events that the club holds annually.

The Dallas Fort Worth chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America selected the winners of five team awards which the Rangers give out annually.

Corey Seager took home the 2023 Texas Rangers Player of the Year after slashing .327/.390/.623 with 33 home runs and 96 RBI in just 119 games. Seager was named the World Series MVP and finished second place in the AL MVP voting.

Dane Dunning was named the Rangers pitcher of the year for 2023 after finishing 12-7 with a 3.70 ERA. After starting the season in the bullpen, Dunning joined the rotation in May and made a team-high 25 starts,  after Jacob deGrom went down with a season-ending elbow injury.

Josh Jung was unanimously named the Rangers Rookie of the Year after batting .266 with 23 homers and 70 RBI in 122 games. Jung was the AL’s starting 3rd baseman in the All-Star Game becoming the Rangers’ first rookie to start an All-Star Game.

Every year, the Rangers give out the Harold McKinney Good Guy Award and the Richard Durrett Hardest Working Player Award and those went to Nathaniel Lowe and Leody Taveras respectively.

Those awards as well as the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards which Rangers players won will be given out at the 2024 Texas Rangers awards dinner which will take place on Friday, January 26th, 2024. Fans can attend the dinner by either purchasing a 10-seat table in a preferred seating area for $2,500 or an individual pass for $200.

Fan Fest is back for the 2024 season and will take place on Saturday, January 27th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Globe Life Field. This will be the second Fan Fest since the Rangers moved from Globe Life Park in 2020.
