Every year I do a Texas Rangers Christmas Wishlist. It has always included winning the World Series as my top wish.

With that wish granted, I can now prioritize what I would like under my Rangers team tree a little differently.

Winning another World Series is high on the list to be honest. I thought I would give you all a peak at my 2023 Christmas Wishlist.

Return some pieces

New is not always better. Sometimes keeping something is just as fun as getting something new.

I want to see Jordan Montgomery return in a Rangers uniform. I think they Rangers don’t win it all without his efforts in October.

I would also like to see Mitch Garver return. He showed down the stretch what an impact player he can be.

Garver would be a good DH option for the team.

Free Agents

I want Josh Hader. Not very many people will disagree with me on this one.

Hader posted a 1.28 ERA and a 1.101 WHIP in 2023. His career ERA is 2.50.

The Rangers would do well to add him to the bullpen. Very well.

Speaking of the Padres, I wouldn’t mind Blake Snell coming over either. He won his second Cy Young award in 2023.

He posed a 2.25 ERA in 32 starts for the Padres.

The big name of course is Shohei Ohtani. I don not believe the Rangers will acquire Ohtani, but he would be a very nice pick up.

Trades

The Rangers have the minor league system to make a trade happen. They have highly touted prospects that other teams could want.

I will write a completely separate piece later on trades. Too much to cover in this article. But they have the power to make some trades happen.

Who do you want to see come to Texas? What player or players would be on your Wishlist? let me know in the comments below.

After finally getting my wish of a World Series Championship, myself and all Rangers fans are hungry for more.

I expect the Rangers to improve the team and make another run. Here’s hoping they do!
