Dallas Wings stars Arike Ogunbowale and Natasha Howard compete with Team USA’s National Team in training camp from November 7th-9th and will play in an exhibition game against Duke University on November 12th.

Both Ogunbowale and Howard have played with the US in recent years. 

Ogunbowale played six games in the 2019 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and two games in the 2019 FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament. Howard played two games of the 2022 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

The Dallas duo will join 15 other WNBA players on the team including superstars Brittney Griner, Sabrina Ionescu, and Diana Taurasi. 

Team USA will be led by head coach Cheryl Reeve and assisted by WNBA head coaches Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics) and Curt Miller (Las Angeles Sparks)

Duke and the US have met one time before in 1999 with the States claiming a 71-45 victory.

Along with the Duke exhibition game Team USA will play an exhibition against Tennessee before participating in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in early February before hosting training camp during the NCAA Women’s Final Four™ in Cleveland.

In 2024 Team USA will go for their seventh consecutive Gold Medal at the summer olympics which will be held in Paris, France.
