Opening Day is finally here and for Rangers fans, the 2023 season brings a hope that folks in the Lone Star State haven’t experienced in a long time. With a newly revamped rotation and the same offensive core from last season, the Rangers are ready to make a huge splash in 2023.
With, the new season set to get underway in a matter of hours, let’s take a look at three reasons that Rangers fans should be excited for in 2023.
1. A new and improved starting rotation – When the Texas Rangers went out and signed Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney, and Nathan Eovaldi and combined them with Martin Perez and Jon Gray, the Rangers went from having one of the worst to one of the best starting rotations in baseball. Unlike much of the franchise’s 51-year history, the 2023 Texas Rangers will have a chance to win every single day with their rotation.
2. The second year of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager – Last season both of the Rangers’ huge offseason acquisitions got off to pretty bad starts. Now that both Semien and Seager and expected to have huge second years in Arlington. This year I expect both Semien and Seager to return to MVP level and the Rangers’ offense should be as dynamic as it was last season.
3. Bruce Bochy and the championship-level coaching staff – There is no doubt that this Texas Rangers coaching staff is championship caliber. With one of the greatest managers of all time coming out of retirement to come behind the Rangers dugout and some of the returning staff, the Rangers have some of the best leadership in all of baseball.
Opening Day is one of the best days of the year and the excitement factor is through the roof for Rangers fans. At last, it is finally baseball time in Texas
