The WNBA has continued to grow throughout the years and 2023 will be no exception. ESPN and ABC are set to air 25 regular season games in the WNBA’s 27th season.

With league viewership up 16 percent in 2022, it’s the perfect time for ABC and ESPN to showcase the WNBA. 2022 marked the most viewed season for the league’s television partners in the past 14 years.

In a new addition to the coverage, select broadcasts will feature a “WNBA countdown” pregame show which will be similar to the one that the NBA features. This is a great step for the promotion of the WNBA.

The Dallas Wings will be featured on ABC four times this upcoming season, their most since 2017 which was their second season in Dallas.

The full schedule of the Wings games on ABC is as follows.

Saturday May 20th at 12 PM vs Atlanta Dream (Home Opener)

Sunday June 11th at 12 PM at New York Liberty

Sunday June 25th at 2 PM at Los Angeles Sparks

Sunday July 2nd at 2 PM vs Washington Mystics

Dallas will be one of six teams who will be featured on ABC four times. The other teams are Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, Washington, and Connecticut.

Last season, the WIngs took part in the most watched WNBA postseason game at the time since September 2nd 2017. Dallas’ game two victory over the Connecticut Sun saw 795,000 fans tune in on ABC.

With the Wings new acquisitions of all stars  Diamond DeShields and Natasha Howard and the returning stars in Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally, Dallas will be must watch TV this season.
