The Dallas Wings have hired Latricia Trammell as their next head coach. Trammell will be the Wings’ fifth head coach in six seasons.
The longtime Sparks assistant will sign a three-year contract with Dallas, finally getting her shot to be a head coach.
After parting ways with former Head Coach Vickie Johnson in September, the Wings will bring in Trammell to try and create a culture of winning in the playoffs.
Latricia Trammell has a track record of winning. Trammell led Oklahoma City University to back-to-back NAIA titles in 2014 and 2015 and was won of the winningest coaches in program history at Western State University (Division II).
Trammell will join a young Wings team that looks to be trending in the right direction after making the playoffs each of the past two seasons.
