The NHL regular season is finally here and already generating new storylines. One of them is the Dallas Stars are off to a fantastic start after winning their first three games. This 3-0 start is already giving fans hope for the future. Their offense is vastly improved compared to last season. Now this team has shown what they’re capable of as some of their stats are the best in the league. The Stars are a formidable team with lots to look forward to. Their start deserves another look.

Opening Night in Nashville

Welcome to Dallas Mason Marchment. Marchment scored two goals with the Stars in the first period on his debut with the club. This offseason is already proving to pay dividends with his signing, especially because he now leads the team in goals. Wyatt Johnston capped off the opening night 4-1 win with his first career NHL goal. This first win was a preview of things to come.

Home Opener Vs. Nashville

The offensive magic continued back in Dallas with another win against the Predators, this time by a 5-1 score. Roope Hintz got 2 on the board while new re-signee Jason Robertson got his first in the new season. Hintz scored one of his goals shorthanded. The offense looked crisp going through opening night and are already better than last season.

Monday Night Vs. Winnipeg

The mini homestand continued with another win against the Jets. Tyler Seguin started off the scoring with his first of the year. If Seguin can get his scoring touch from years past then the Stars are a major threat. The Stars lead the league with a +10 in goal differential. The Stars now go on the road to the east so we’ll see what four straight away games do on their slate.

No Head Coach has ever started their tenure with the Stars at 3-0-0 but now Peter DeBoer has. The future is bright for this team and we’ll see how things go over the next week. Look out if they continue their approach. High hopes are abound in Dallas for its hockey team and we’ll see how they do over the next week.
