The Dallas Mavericks have lost to the Orlando Magic 110-105 in the Mavs second game in the preseason.

Luka Doncic and some of the players that were unavailable in the last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder did play however they were limited in those minutes to mostly the first half.

An interesting move that Coach Kidd made to the starting lineup was starting Jaden Hardy over Spencer Dinwiddie at the starting point-guard position. Doncic performed in the way that everyone has come to expect from him scoring 16-points in 18 minutes.

The other notable pre-season standout for the second game in a row was Christian Wood who scored 23 points in 19 minutes on 8 of 12 shooting from the field and 3 of 6 from the field. Wood is making a very strong case for him to be the starting Power Forward/ Center for the Mavs.

Davis Bertans was still out in this game due to an ankle injury while rookies Marcus Bingham and DJ Stewart did not receive any playing time during this preseason game Hardy scored 6 points in 20 minutes on 2 of 10 shooting.

The Mavericks as a unit shot 43.2 percent from the field and about 36 percent from the three point line.

The Mavericks play their final Pre-Season game on Friday against the now depleted  Utah Jazz before heading to Phoenix to play the Phoenix Suns opening night.
