It’s safe to say that the push for the 2022 WNBA Playoffs is officially on. The Dallas Wings have just seven games remaining in the regular season.
The Wings currently hold a 13-16 record, which is good for sixth in the WNBA standings. With the top eight teams making the playoffs, the Wings still have some work to do.
Dallas won’t be able to move up in the standings but they do need to ensure they don’t move down and get a tough matchup in the playoffs.
The next two games are going to be tough challenges for Dallas.
Tomorrow, at 8:00 PM the Wings travel to Chicago to take on the reigning WNBA champion and current number one team in the league, the Chicago Sky.
Dallas then will come back home on Thursday to take on the second-best team in the W, the Las Vegas Aces.
However, after that, The Wings will catch a much-needed break. Every single team Dallas plays for the rest of the season is against a team well below .500 and below them in the standings.
After they take on the two best teams in the W, Dallas will take on the Fever (5-27), the Liberty (11-18) twice, the Mercury (13-17), and the Sparks (12-17).
With a winnable schedule and confidence after a big win in Atlanta, the Wings control their own destiny to make it back to the WNBA playoffs for the second straight season.
