On Thursday night, the red-hot Washington Mystics made a trip to the College Park Center, for the final matchup between the Mystics and the Wings

The winner of tonight’s game would win the season series. Dallas has won each of the last two season series vs the Mystics.

Both teams had some key players out tonight. Washington was without their star, Elena Delle Donne who did not travel with the team. The Wings were still without Satou Sabally who remained out due to an ankle injury.

After the first quarter, the Mystics had a ten-point advantage 24-14. Washington continued their hot play by shooting 58.8% from the field and 60% from beyond the arc.

Myisha Hines-Allen (7) and Alysha Clark (6) lead the Mystics in scoring.

Dallas on the other hand was getting good looks, they just were not hitting them. The Wings were shooting 33.3 % and 0-3 from beyond the arc.

The Wings missed several open threes, looks at the rim, and free throws all in the first. The Wings ended the first with 6 straight empty possessions.

The second quarter was more of the same. The Washington Mystics pretty much got whatever they wanted whenever they wanted it.

At the half, Washington led 56-36. The Mystics were shooting 64.7% and 58.3% from beyond the arc at halftime.

Dallas missed a lot of opportunities in the first half. The Wings got to the free throw line 17 times but made just 9 of those shots.

Teaira McCowan (10) and Aleisha Gray (7) lead all Dallas scorers.

When things looked like they were going very bad, Dallas came out and played an excellent 3rd quarter.

The Wings outscored the Mystics 16-10 in the 3rd frame.

However, the Wings still trailed by 13 going into the final quarter.

Dallas would come back to cut the Washington lead down to 10 in the 4th. They trailed just 72-62 after Teaira McCowen had a huge offensive rebound and put back.

However, unfortunately, that was the closest the Wings got it as they would fall by a score of 87-77
