On, Monday the Rangers and the Astros kicked off their third series of the year. Houston came into the game leading the overall season series 6-2. 

For Texas lefty, Taylor Hearn made his 12th start of the season. Coming in Hearn was 4-4 with a 5.40 ERA. 

The Astros countered with Christian Javier,  who came in a 3-3 with a 3.22 ERA.

Houston would be the first to the scoreboard after Yordan Alverez flipped a single into right field to score Jose Altuve and give the Astros a 1–0 lead.

The Astros added two more in the 2nd with a pair of RBI singles and the Rangers trailed 3-0. 

In the 3rd inning, the Rangers would threaten big time. Leody Taveras, Marcus Semien, and Corey Seager would all single to load the bases with no one out. 

Texas was able to scratch across one on a sac fly from Kole Calhoun that scored Leody Tavares who slide just under the tag from Martin Maldonado. 

Houston was almost able to add on two more in the 5th when Yordan Alverez crushed a fly ball to deep right field. 

Enter El Bombi to rob it at the wall and save the Rangers two runs. 

In the 7th Texas was able to do something that not a lot of teams have done this season, and that is score off of Ryan Stanek.

Adolis Garcia would come through with an RBI single to cut the Astros lead to 1.

The Rangers would come back to tie the game in the 8th after Ezquiel Duran singled up the middle to tie things at 3.

Duran would go on to steal second and move to third on a wild pitch. 

Brad Miller would single him home to give the Rangers the lead!!!!

Corey Seager then came up and hit an RBI ground out to make it 5-3 Texas. 

Matt Morre came on in the 9th and tried to get the save. 

That is exactly what he did!!

The Rangers would come back and win 5-3!!!
