Over the past few weeks of the season, Anton Khudobin has faced criticism for not quite playing like the Dobby we all know and love.
Along with the critics, he also dealt with a scratch from the Stars’ game against the Chicago Blackhawks after missing practice. However, Khudobin has managed to turn things around after playing two fantastic games against the Florida Panthers.
In the Stars’ first matchup against the Panthers, Dobby saved a whopping 49 shots. It was easy to see that Khudobin was getting a little worn out during the second and third periods, as more shots on goal were allowed by Dallas; however, the fan-favorite goalie remained resilient and fought to continue to execute epic saves. Even though Dallas came up short, losing the game 3-1, that loss could not be blamed on the goaltending and had more to do with the play in front of the net.
In a post-game interview, head coach Rick Bowness stated the team “wasted a great goaltending performance.”
In Dallas’ second matchup against Florida, Dobby helped lead the Stars to victory after saving 43 shots and recording his second shutout of the season.
Dobby earned himself a rest after his hard work in the crease as Bowness opted to start Jake Oettinger in the Stars’ final game against the Panthers.

I think all Dallas fans are eager to get Dobby back in front of the net to see what incredible stops he will make next.
Hopefully, Khudobin will continue to shift momentum in the Stars’ play leading them to more wins throughout the season.
