This week has been extremely difficult for Texan residents. Many of us have lost power and clean water, and water damage has been a occurring all over the state. In a reaction to this snowstorm, players have set up donation websites and GoFundMe’s in order to raise money by those hit hardest by these events.
Zarek Valentin, alongside the Houston Dynamo and the Houston Dash, have set up a fundraiser, and the funds will be split between Kids Meals Houston and The Houston Food Bank.
?After going without power this week and sleeping with my toddler in a 45°F house—my teammates, the @HoustonDash & I want to help those who are still struggling in Houston. If you can help, please click the link…Thanks y’allhttps://t.co/5Mps5UuIWY#HoustonStrong #HoldItDown

Expansion side Austin FC have already integrated themselves well in the community, and have set up a GoFundMe in order to help citizens in their community. Proceeds will go to the 4ATX Foundation.

Finally, one of our favorite Academy players, Tanner Tessmann, set up a GoFundMe alongside the FC Dallas Foundation. All proceeds will go to winter storm relief.
My teammates and I recognize how everyone in Texas has been affected by the winter storms. We want to do our part and support our community.
Please consider donating if you can, any amount will help: https://t.co/vFiwrnb9V0 Stay warm?

With millions affected by the snowstorm, it is important to help the community in order to rebuild after the storm passes. Stay safe, everyone.
