The Dallas Cowboys gave a sense of false hope after their win against the Minnesota Vikings and a reminder after a loss against the Washington Football Team that this team is a team for the tank.
It’s not all bad though because there are talented players coming out of this draft that could help this team greatly.
Here are the top five players coming out of the 2021 NFL Draft that the Dallas Cowboys shouldn’t mind using that first-round pick on.
5) OT Christian Darrisaw // Virginia Tech
All the hope in the world is going towards the Cincinnati Bengals winning more games, so Sewell can get swiped for that deteriorating offensive line. However, you can put all your hopes and dreams on one player. That’s where Christian Darrisaw comes in.
Darrisaw is a projected 12th pick of the first round and for good reason.
4) EDGE Gregory Rousseau // Miami

It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to have another Gregory as an edge rusher opposite Demarcus Lawrence.
3) CB Patrick Surtain II // Alabama
The secondary is not good. Awuzie and Woods take turns getting burned, and it may be time to add some more help from Alabama.
The duo of Trevon Diggs and Patrick Surtain II might be the turnover team Dallas might need.
2) LB Micah Parsons // Penn State
The team’s linebacker position has been the most highly criticized as of yet. In every game is a play where Jaylon Smith makes a bonehead decision that is costly, Sean Lee is highly injury-prone, and LVE seems to be following in Lee’s footsteps.
Parsons is the type of player that could add some excitement and electricity to the defense.
1) OT Penei Sewell // Oregon
Most fans are for drafting for the defense, but the others are looking at the depleting offensive line. The 2016 year brought joy and happiness because of that special O-line.
With an improved line, Zeke can look better, Dak could look better, and the Dallas Cowboys can go back to scoring and winning.
Sitting at the number four spot, Dallas has the opportunity to make this count.
