After a disappointing start to the season, Aranguiz spent the latter half of the 2019 season with his hometown club Union Espanola. He has been in the spotlight down in Chile due to good form, and has caught the eyes of many with the Chilean National Team. According to sources in Chile, FC Dallas and Universidad de Chile have agreed to a loan deal for the midfielder which will be made public by Thursday.
The move pulls a curtain on Aranguiz’s disappointing tenure in Frisco, who was brought in by former FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja as a replacement for Mauro Diaz. Aranguiz never got settled with the Texan club, as he had no goals a no assists in over 800 minutes in 2019.

According to reports coming out of Israel, MS Ashdod has given a contract to Richard Danso. The Ghanaian Winger spent the second half of 2019 with North Texas SC, and became a starter due to his raw speed and crossing ability. MS Ashdod have been looking for reinforcements, as their season has been mired in disappointment, reflected in the 10th place position in the Israeli Premier League. According to the article, the club already has his VISA ready, but the 19-year-old is wary of joining, and currently has other offers on the table.
Danso seems to be looking for a big move that can get him the platform for entering Europe’s big leagues. With this rumor and with the information about his multiple offers, it seems that the young winger will not be in the states next year.
Incoming
Rumor: Giorgi “Papu” Papunashvili from Zaragoza
Merci à @ElChicoCarmona et à @martillotexano pour l'information.

Papu is a Georgian winger who has spent the last two years in the second division of Spain, a league that FC Dallas have been scouting a decent amount shown by the transfer of Bryan Acosta last spring. The 24 year old has played mostly on the right-wing in his career, and has made stops in Germany and his native Georgia. He was also rumored to sign for NYCFC, another MLS team, about 3 weeks ago, which gives this signing a little bit more weight.
This signing sheds a little bit of light into the plans of the club. When Fafa Picault was signed by the club a couple of weeks ago, it filled the last remaining hole that was left in the attack. However, as was reported in the article, FC Dallas needs to sell players in order to afford the services of the Georgian international. As a right-sided attacker, it puts into question the future of current FC Dallas players like Michael Barrios and Thomas Roberts, the latter of whom is still reportedly in Germany with Bayern Munich.
Rumor: Erick Gunera from CDS Vida

— FC_Dallas FR ?? (@FCDallasFR1) December 16, 2019
A Louisiana-born winger, Gunera was last with Honduran top-flight time CDS Vida, who are currently in a fight for the championship in the Liga Silva VIda. Gunera was a regular for GCPL current champion FC New Orleans. The 17-year-old has been touted as the Honduran Messi, and has been a star in the Honduran Youth National system. He is expected to be called up for the U20 side soon.
With the amount of players that have left North Texas in the last couple weeks, it seems that Gunera is a shoe-in starter for Quill in 2020.
With the European Transfer Window not yet open, expected more rumors and transfers in the coming weeks.
