Bartolo Colon did it again in Tuesday’s matchup versus the Seattle Mariners. Sitting at 245 career victories, Big Sexy earned his 246th win against the Mariners, but it wasn’t so easy for the lovable veteran.

The ageless wonder started off rough, giving up back to back home runs to Nelson Cruz and Kyle Seager in the 2nd inning, then a triple by Denard Span in a the 3rd that scored Dee Gordon to put them up 3-0.

But the Rangers bounced back, scoring 5 runs in the next two innings, led by the streaking Rougned Odor, who hit a 2-run double and scored once himself in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Odor had a HUGE night, going 2 for 5 with a home run, double, and driving in 4 RBI. He raised his home run total to 13 on the year. He has now hit 10 HR in his last 30 games with a .324 batting average.

Colon continued pitching through the 7th inning, settling down and just giving up one more earned run, while adding a highlight play in his quiet victory.

With his 246th victory, Colon became the winningest pitcher in MLB that was born in Latin America, surpassing Dennis Martinez, with whom he was tied with. Big Bart may not make it to the hall, but he sure made history in a Ranger uniform. Congratulations to you, Big Sexy.
