Mark your calendars: the NHL has released the schedule of home openers for all 31 teams for the 2018-2019 regular season, beginning with the Washington Capitals facing the Boston Bruins on October 3. The Dallas Stars will host the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday, October 4. The full 1,271-game schedule for the season will be revealed live on NHL Network on Thursday, June 21, at 5 p.m, during NHL Tonight: 2018-19 Schedule Release. It will also be streamed live on NHL.com.

The Stars made the announce on social media with a short video in the style of EA Sports NHL 18 videogame. A handful of fans thought this was an announcement on Tyler Seguin being the cover athlete of EA Sports NHL 19 – while that would have been exciting news, it honestly turned out to be better than that (and don’t lose hope on that Seguin cover yet).

You can take a look at the video below.

Until then, the Stars will have seven preseason games against Division rivals St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, and Colorado Avalanche in home-and-home matchups, starting on September 18 against the Blues, as well as a neutral site game against the Florida Panthers in Tulsa, Okla. on September 24. Tickets for all home preseason games are now on sale.

The Stars’ training camp will take place at CenturyLink arena in Boise, Idaho from September 14-16. The complete training camp practice schedule will be posted on the team’s official site at a later date.

Sale dates for the home opener and the rest of the regular season games will be released throughout the summer – plan accordingly.
