We’ve had an amazing last four games, all wins! here are some stats for you to look at as we start off strong.
The Dallas Stars are third in the NHL with a 88.9% penalty kill percentage. We are first in the NHL with 27 shots per game. We are also fifth in the NHL 28.6% on the power play. One more, we are sixth with a 52.9% faceoff win percentage. How are those stats? Amazing! We are top 10 in every category. We maybe 15th in the league, but if we keep up this hard work we will be in the playoffs this year.
With amazing work from Ben Bishop these last few games, he has a save percentage of .929. Our defensive has been good so far, but when we’ve been slacking Bishop has always been there to get those important saves we need. Seeing the Stars with a new goalie this year has effected the team so much. Granted, we’re not a perfect team but Ben has been making us look close to it.
Some work that Hitchcock needs to do would be is looking back at our last game. We had about four goals and then carolina came back very strong with 3. When we have a lead we can’t start slacking, we have to keep the hard work and stamina going. It’s small improvements like that, that’s going to make the Stars into a brand new team this year. Also Tyler Seguin has his first career fight against Arizona Coyotes (former stars player) Patrik Nemeth. Many were surprised when this happened, as fans thought they were good friends.
